Today we made History by doing First Non Scalpel Vasectomy in our unit at Sion Hospital after undergoing training in NSV by F south Dr Advani and Dr Ramnath....fells good...thanks to my team members...

DR Vasant Patwardhan Sir: I will miss him .Personally.Simple living High thinking.... MOGS & FOGSI has Lost a true Samaritan. He used to juggle between Pune and Mumbai quiet Often.. 108 ambulance service must start all over the country. Hb and Blood Group must be a part of ADMIT procedure in schools and colleges. That would bring us close to our goal!

FOGSI Observes Safe Motherhood Day 11th April 2010. “No woman should die giving life” Govt of Maharashtra implements Suraksha Matrutwa Anudan (Monetary gain)and Janani Suraksha Yojana during ANC and following Childbirth upto 7 days of delivery. Its Implemented in Mumbai(M.C.G.M) and all District , Towns and PHC's in Maharashtra.

Safe motherhood means ensuring that all women receive the care they need to be safe and healthy throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
Safe motherhood is fundamentally a matter of human rights; all women are entitled to good health and high-quality health services. Maternal deaths are linked to women’s low status in society, and their lack of decision making ability and economic power. In order for women to be able to enjoy safe pregnancy outcomes, they need to be accorded the same opportunities to health, education, and employment as their male counterparts.
